Hawk ThorneRisk & Market Intelligence
Back to Front Page

Every note the Hawk Thorne desk publishes is produced on the same engine that powers AEGIS. AEGIS turns market intelligence into a portfolio-level view of exposure, stress and liquidity: one reconciled source of truth.

The view you read on this site is not marketing. It is the output of the same models, scenarios and data that run inside AEGIS. When the desk changes its view, the platform reflects it.

AEGIS is the platform the research is built on; the desk publishes from it every working day.

For an owner of private capital, AEGIS is an independent second view, not another system to integrate. It reads the book the owner already runs, and takes over nothing.

Weights only, by design

You register tickers and percentage weights. Amounts and share counts never leave your browser; the server cannot know how much money you have.

Stress-testing and scenario intelligence

Volatility, VaR by several methods, historical episodes and desk-authored scenarios priced on your book, correlation clusters that show what is really one position, liquidity tiers and a what-if simulator.

Events on your positions

ESPI filings, the KNF short-selling register and corroborated news, filtered by your book, with an earnings and central-bank calendar for the week ahead.

Your rules, kept

Mandate holds your self-defined limits: instrument, sector, currency, cash floor. Evaluated daily, with a dated breach log. AEGIS reports a breach of your policy; it never tells you what to trade.

Honest end-of-day

A morning risk briefing after the previous close, with every screen stamped with its data-as-of date. No pretend real-time.

Deterministic and auditable

Client-facing analytics are deterministic mathematics; no large language model touches client data. Every number traces back to its source.

Private preview

AEGIS is the risk layer built first for its author's own book and then turned outward. It reads exposure, scenarios and events across a whole portfolio rather than single positions. A book is registered as weights alone, with no amounts and no account linked: a tool built for oneself has no reason to ask how much anyone holds. The preview opens to a small group; two questions help us sequence invitations.

Common questions

What is a personal risk desk?

The institutional risk-desk pattern (exposures, VaR, scenario stress, events on your positions, mandate limits) delivered to a single private book, below the enterprise threshold. A personal risk desk informs and warns; it does not manage money or give advice. AEGIS is a personal risk desk: weights-only, end-of-day, deterministic.

Do I have to share amounts or link a broker account?

No. AEGIS is weights-only: you register tickers and percentage weights. Amounts and share counts never leave your browser, and there is no broker linking.

Does AEGIS give investment advice or buy/sell signals?

No. AEGIS informs and warns: it prices risk and scenarios on your book and reports breaches of your own limits. It never recommends buying or selling anything; decisions remain with you.

Which markets does AEGIS cover?

US and Warsaw (GPW) listed instruments, with explicit FX treatment and portfolio bases in PLN, USD or EUR. Polish event depth, from ESPI filings to the KNF short-selling register, is native.

Is AEGIS real-time?

No, by design. AEGIS is an end-of-day platform: a morning risk briefing after the previous close, with every screen stamped with its data-as-of date. Honest EOD beats pretend real-time.

Does AI read my portfolio?

No. Client-facing analytics are deterministic and auditable; no large language model touches client data.
